This new episode features the conflict that breaks out when a new guest arrives and upsets the equilibrium of alliances and love bonds in the villa. Now viewers witness the consequences of one bombshell’s entrance as emotions run high and loyalties are questioned. The third bombshell officially enters the ‘Love Island USA’ season 8 villa on Friday, June 5. Corbin Mims, a 22-year-old Miami native, joins during the Islanders’ first challenge. But only the girls get a look and a kiss with him, while competing men remain unaware of who is hiding in the back.
Corbin Mims’ arrival surprises islanders
Corbin, who recently graduated from university, is a travel entrepreneur working in the luxury vacation rental industry. His social media presence suggests he is a big fitness enthusiast.Corbin enters the villa after several shakeups in its first few days. As of Day 3, Aniya Harvey is coupled up with KC Chandler; Beatriz Hatz is with Gabriel Vasconcelos; Bryce Dettloff is paired with Trinity Tatum; Kayda Bosse is with Zach Georgiou; and Melanie Moreno remains coupled with Sincere Rhea. Meanwhile, Kenzie Annis and Sean Reifel navigate the villa as singles.
Female Islanders react to meeting the new bombshell
After Trinity gets a moment alone with Corbin, she says in her confessional after meeting him, “No guy is safe.” Melanie says she is so shocked she “didn’t know what to do” when she sees Corbin. When it is Kenzie’s turn, she is excited to keep a secret from the boys, while Kayda can’t believe the girls are able to keep the secret during the challenge. When it is time for Corbin to make his entrance, the girls play it off as a surprise. But their covers are blown when he says, “Ladies, nice to see y’all again. Guys, do you wanna hear from me? Or are the ladies going to tell them?”
Male Islanders watch their relationships threatened
He then pulls the girls aside for a group chat, where each confesses they are interested—while simultaneously instilling fear in the men watching from across the villa. “We’re watching our demise,” KC says, as Bryce adds, “This is painful.”Then Melanie pulls him for a private chat, leaving Sincere confused, and the girls agree it is strange of her to do so. They also propose that Kenzie be the next in line for a conversation with Corbin. Beatriz adds that she doesn’t like how Melanie is “moving,” and Trinity adds, “I’m confused because at the same time, if that was Sincere, she would be f—ing pissed. What the f–k is going on? She has a really good thing.”
Melanie’s behaviour sparks conflict and tears
Sincere says in his confessional, “I literally went through the seven stages of grief in 25 minutes.” Beatriz then confronts Melanie for her “rude” behaviour. But the conversation quickly escalates when Melanie says it is an accident and asks Beatriz to “relax.” Trinity tries to diffuse the situation by asking about Melanie’s chat with Corbin, but Melanie decides she doesn’t want to speak with the girls because Beatriz “did too much.“Melanie quickly looks for someone to talk to and walks around the villa before Aniya asks to have a chat with her on the couch. But Melanie says, “I’m not going to the couch,” before asking for some time alone. “Give me 10,” she repeats several times to Aniya.
