Jhulan Goswami is a legendary figure. No conversation around the Indian women cricket team is complete without her mention as she is pioneers in Indian women’s cricket. She has created a league of her own. Widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of women cricket, the former India captain finished her international career as the leading wicket-taker in Women’s One Day Internationals. She is an inspiration to an entire generation of young cricketers and was honoured with the Arjuna Award and Padma Shri.
Today she has taken West Bengal to global cricketing stardom. Despite her global achievements, she remains deeply connected to her roots and divides her time between hometown of Chakdaha in Nadia district and her cricket time in Kolkata.
