Yes, the laundry needs to be done, and perhaps you have other chores to do. But shoving as much laundry as physically possible into your washing machine is not a good idea. When the drum is too full, your clothes can’t move around properly, which means they don’t get properly clean. Also, the detergent won’t reach all the fabrics evenly. Follow the three-quarters rule. Yes, that means more loads to run, but your clothes will actually be clean. Isn’t that the whole point?
